Notice from UCC Council Chair about Hustings 2023

Dear candidate,

I hope this email finds you well, and congratulations on your nomination. UCCSU will be hosting our hustings for USI elections on 20/3 at 19:00 in Boole 2. You are invited to attend this hustings in person, but will also have the option to join online (link sent closer to the date). All UCC students are welcome to attend this event as they all have voting rights at hustings, and votes will be allocated through the Huntington-Hill method of apportionment. Each candidate will be allocated 3 minutes for an opening speech followed by questions from the audience. Questions will be general and not directed at individual candidates. Answers will last no longer than 1 minute per candidate. Once speeches and questions have concluded I will ask that candidates leave the room while voting closes and delegate allocation is calculated. Candidates will then be invited to return to the room, where results will be announced.
