Muireann Nic Corcráin do Leas Uachtarán don Ghaeilge

Dia dhaoibh, is mise Muireann Nic Corcráin agus táim ag rith chun bheith i mo Leas-Uachtarán don Ghaeilge d’AMLÉ!

Tá mo shaol uilig caite leis an nGaeilge mórthimpeall orm, agus táim bródúil as an obair atá déanta agam ag tacú le feachtais chun inrochtaineacht an teanga a mhéadú, mar shampla, an Feachtas Síneadh Fada ar chártaí aitheantais agus mé i m’Oifigeach na Gaeilge d’Aontas na Mac Léinn Choláiste na Tríonóide. Tá an t-ádh orm an méid sin deiseanna a fháil bheith páirteach i dtionscnaimh éagsúla de bharr mo chuid stocaireachta na Gaeilge, cosúil leis an intéirneacht a rinne mé leis an gClár Rannphártaíochta Násiúnta na Mac Léinn (NStEP) chun clár trialach ar “Éagsúlacht a Léiriú” a sheoladh. Is iad seo na deiseanna atáim ag iarraidh cruthú do mhic léinn atá ag iarraidh bheith páirteach i saol na Gaeilge, ba chuma an caighdéan teanga atá acu nó a gcuid taithí leis an teanga go dtí seo.

Táim ag rith feachtas dírithe ar constaicí a bhriseadh aníos, inrochtaineacht teanga agus cuimsiú na Gaeilge a mhéadú, chomh maith le pobal láidir do mhic léinn a chuireadh an teanga a thabhairt ó neart go neart ar fud na hÉireann a chruthú. Táim paiseanta, tiománta agus oibrím go dian, agus b’aoibhinn liom ionadaíocht a dhéanamh ar bhur son mar bhur gcéad Leas-Uachtarán don Ghaeilge eile.

Vótáil Muireann Nic Corcráin #1 do Leas-Uachtarán don Ghaeilge. Bígí linn ar #FoireannMuireann!

Hi, my name is Muireann Nic Corcráin and I’m running for Vice-President for the Irish Language of USI!

My whole life has revolved around the Irish language and I’m incredibly proud to have supported campaigns in the past to increase accessibility to the language, such as the Síneadh Fada on student ID campaign that I successfully led as Oifigeach na Gaeilge of Trinity College Students’ Union. I’ve been so lucky to have had so many opportunities to become involved in different projects because of my involvement with Irish language activism, such as my recent internship with the National Student Engagement Programme (NStEP) on creating a new Representing Diversity Pilot Training Programme. These are the kinds of opportunities I want to give to students who want to get involved in Irish, no matter their level or their experience of the language to date.

I am running on a campaign of breaking down barriers, a campaign of increasing the accessibility and inclusivity of the Irish language and a campaign of creating a strong network of students who can lead the way in seeing the language go from strength on the island of Ireland. I’m passionate, committed and hard working and I would love to be given the chance to represent you all as your next Leas-Uachtarán don Ghaeilge.

Vote Muireann Nic Corcráin #1 for Vice-President of the Irish Language. Come join #FoireannMuireann!
